Photography Contest #EnjoyMallorcawithStyle

Scope and duration

Universal Beach Hotels is holding a photo and video contest on its corporate Instagram and Facebook profiles in order to promote its social networks.
The competition will start on August 19, 2023, and will end on September 15, 2023. The decision on the winners will be published on social networks before September 30, 2023.

Conditions of participation

Only people over the age of 18 who meet one of these 2 requirements and all the other conditions set out in these terms and conditions are eligible to participate:

1) ) Post a photo on your public Instagram profile taken inside any of our hotels sharing your best moment of the summer, mentioning @universalbeachhotels, adding the hashtags #universalphotographycontest23 and #enjoymallorcawithstyle in the description and following the corporate account of Universal Beach Hotels (@universalbeachhotels).

2)Post a photograph on your public Facebook profile taken inside any of our hotels sharing your best moment of the summer, mentioning @UniversalBeachHotels, adding the hashtags #universalphotographycontest23 and #enjoymallorcawithstyle and clicking “Like” on the page of Universal Beach Hotels Facebook (@UniversalBeachHotels).

The submission of any photograph or video to the competition implies the assumption of authorship by the participant, otherwise he/she may be disqualified. Only one photograph per participant will be considered.
The competition jury reserves the right to eliminate any photographs with a derogatory or offensive tone or which do not respect the theme of the competition.

Mechanics of the competition

The competition winners will be chosen by a panel of judges made up of 4 members of staff from different Universal Beach Hotels departments. Each judge will choose 3 photographs from the competition entries, awarding 10 points to their favourite and 5 and 3 points to the second and third photographs selected respectively. The 3 photographs with the highest scores will be the winners.
Creativity, originality and technique will be valued.

Competition prize

First prize for this competition is a 3-night Bed & Breakfast stay for 2 persons at one of our hotels (except Universal Grand León & Spa and Mar Suites Formentera by Universal Beach Hotels). The stay may be taken between 1st October 2023 and 30th June 2024 and will be subject to availability at the chosen hotel.
The second prize is a personalised 20% promotional discount code valid for the winner’s next stay and the third prize is a 15% promotional code.
In addition, all three winners will receive a Universal Pack containing merchandising items such as a towel, beach bag or pens.
The prize do not include the winners' travel to the hotels or any other services.
In the event that the winners do not accept the prize, it cannot be exchanged for others or for any cash value.

Others

Participation in the competition implies acceptance of these rules and the assignment to Universal Beach Hotels of all copyright of the photographs submitted to the competition, as well as the assignment of all image rights of the persons appearing in them with reserving the right to use and publish any of the images submitted to the competition as publicity or communication support. Likewise, participation in the competition implies acceptance of the Privacy Policy of Universal Beach Hotels.
